Maybelline shadows

I really like this Maybelline limited edition palette. I decided to try it out specifically because I have the worst time trying to find a yellow that's NOT gold in the drugstores. I walked up and down the aisles carefully scanning every eyeshadow pot, trio and palette. Then did the same in three other stores. Nothing. I've only found decent yellows by shopping Indie brands. Anyhow, I needed a yellow right then for a look I was dying to try. Before I gave up, I found this little eight combo and saw a yellow! I think I paid six something at Kmart, but I liked the all the other colors it came with so I figured it was worth.
These colors are pale and summery. Usually pale is not the quality you desire in an eyeshadow, but perhaps I am not using the best adjective. I really like how the colors are so soft and pastel like, very easy going and low maintenance. A good bunch of shades to pull-off at work without looking like you are wearing weekend makeup to the office. my yellow is a soft buttery color and the blues are cool and icy without that slutty thing that blues can do to you sometimes. The back of the palette says the colors are a combo of mattes, shimmer, and high pearl. One of the benefits of a set with complimentary shades is that instead of throwing a million items in your purse, you can keep this set on the go without cluttering up.

ErthBlu shares her thoughts on "Physicians Formula Organic Wear" (tinted moisturizer)

Hi! This is ErthBlu and today I am sharing my first contribution to *InspEyEred*. I will be occasionally sharing my thoughts and opinions on products.

I am one of those kind of girls that hates the fuss of makeup. I refuse to wake up early to spend my time in front of a mirror, and half the time Im rushing where ever I go applying eyeshadow in a crazy flurry at a stoplight in my crooked rear view mirror. when I find products that make me look half decent and can by smeared on in the matter of seconds Im all for it. Recently, with the aid of a CVS coupon, I decided to splurge on Physicians Formula Organic Wear tinted moisturizer with an SPF of 15. The thing that drew me to this $13.99 1.5oz tube of lotion was the simple fact that it is paraban free, all natural, cruelty free and organic. As someone who prides themself with attempting to be as eco friendly as the market will allow, I chose to give it a go.

I love this product. I have combination skin and often I skip foundation because in areas where my face is dry foundation accentuates the flaws in my skin. this solves my problem completely. It is quick and effortless and I dont have to worry about uneven lines around my chin to help improve my overall skin tone. It comes in various shade groups and hasnt let me down thus far! My only complaint is the lavender smell that overwhelms my senses as i apply it. Im not a fan of the lavender scent in general so this is a huge turn off. however, I only notice it for the first few minutes after using it and then it seems to dissapate. i havent had any complaints from my boyfriend or my baby so Im sticking with it!

This product is intended and perfect for women who dont wear an abundance of makeup and just want a product that hydrates, nourishes, and evens out your complexion. I love that it doesnt look like im wearing makeup, so no matter what my day brings Im not checking myself in the mirror to ensure my face is in place. It is all natural and hypo allergenic unlike other popular drugstore foundations that leave more belmishes than they cover. I would highly recommend this product!

*InspEyEr* Status

Hey Beauties;

I will be on vacation starting tomorrow, Wednesday August 17th, until  Monday night, August 22nd. I will do my best to get new posts up on the Blog, but some of these days I will be camping and will be unable to get online. The days I have computer access I will do my best!

My husband and I will be be celebrating our 1st anniversary! August 21st. And happy birthday to my husband Chris, Saturday the 20th. We are going to be camping, river rafting, and going to Reno!! Woo-hoo!

A great salon up North

If you live in Northern California, more specifically the Chico area, an awesome salon to go to is Ultra Beautician. Mike is my hairdresser, and I'm so happy when I leave!! I had my roots re-touched, my hair toned, and some layers cut in.
You can find them on FB.

Glimmer Earth

Apply a green over your entire lid. I used a shade from the Maybelline Limited Edition mini-palette called "The Brightside". I then took a loose black mineral powder and brushed on the outer lid half. I took a shimmery peachy color from the Maybelline collection and swept over under my brow, and then blended this color down into the green and black on my lids to soften and shimmer the whole look.

Hazel :-)

Once again, Hazel has got me to give her a little color. She always asks for pink and blue, so I gave her blue on top and pink on the bottom. She is improving at holding her face still and following directions. I will tell her to "look up" or give her an object to focus on like my pants so she will keep her eyes open but look down.

Jesse's Girl in Mardi Gras and Sparkle Red and a touch of mascara

Dark Mermaid Part 1 (Blue Siren)

This is my first look for dark mermaid eyes. I first applied my primer all the way up to the brow.I took a bright blue and black loose minerals and blended in a little lid to get a dark, dark teal-ish color. I used this for the corners. I added the bright blue to the other half of my eyes. I then took a peachy sandy gold color and highlighted. I blended the peachy color all around the rest of my lid to soften. I lined eyes and water line with a navy blue. I finished with foundation, blush, and pale pink for my lips.

Pastel Sunset (Soft sky)

This is my take on a soft, pastel-like sunset. The blending is a  way to pull off fun colors for an everyday look.
